Terms of Service
The terms a subscribed line is carried under.
What is being supplied
A connection to our network at a stated address, at the plan agreed when the order was taken. Speeds quoted are the speeds provisioned on the line; what a single device shows over wireless in a far room is a property of the room, and we will say so rather than pretend otherwise.
Equipment
Where a router or optical unit is supplied with the service, it is lent, not sold. It stays ours, and it comes back when the service ends. Damage caused by the subscriber is chargeable at the cost of the unit.
Interruptions
Lines fail — a cut in the street, a power event, work by a third party. We commit to logging the fault when it is reported and attending it, not to a network that never breaks. Planned work that will interrupt service is announced before it happens.
Use of the connection
The connection is for the address it was installed at. Reselling it, or extending it to a neighbouring property as a commercial service, is not covered by a residential plan and will end it.
Ending the service
Either side may end the service with notice. On termination the lent equipment is returned and any balance owed for service already delivered is settled.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the changed version is published here with the date it took effect. We do not backdate a change.
